Your Item - Delivery Information
Delivery Options
Below are our normal delivery times,
however please see front page where any notifications of unusual
delays will be posted.
Please note that a
signature is required for all packages, irrespective
of the delivery option chosen. Please bear this in mind when placing
your order, as there is no extra charge to deliver to a secondary
address - such as a place of work. If you have no address, where
someone will be available to sign for packages during normal delivery
hours (8.30am - 5.30pm) please do not order unless you are prepared
to collect from the relevant carrier's depot. P&P charges
incurred for 'undeliverable' address, will not be refunded under
any circumstances, as we still have to pay the carriers in this
case.
Deliveries are normally
made between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday. The only exception
to this is that Royal Mail sometimes deliver on Saturdays - this
is at their discresion, and we do not offer a dedicated Saturday
delivery service. If you have specified a work address then obviously
they would deliver on the next working day.
First Class
Recorded Delivery :
The
Royal Mail recorded delivery service is the normal postal service
but with the "delivery" being recorded, ie a signature
being required. As its only "recorded delivery"
there is no tracking, they will only have details of the item
after it's been delivered.
We often get the situation that Royal Mail
staff will say they have no details of an item, this will be correct,
until its been delivered. This does not mean we haven't sent the
item, it means its being processed through their system for delivery.
All items will have a REFERENCE number and
you can use the Royal Mail website, "Track and Trace"
section, to check if its been delivered. You cannot do as THEIR
name for it suggests, "track and trace".
Recorded delivery is a low cost / economy
service ideal for small low value items, because normal mail arrives
in a few days it does not mean small packets / parcels will.
If you require a faster delivery method,
please select Express. This does not mean or imply Next Day delivery
or guaranteed date delivery - simply that your order will be shipped
as quickly as possible and by the fastest carrier method available
to us.
Whilst the majority of items arrive in a
few days, this is normal post, it is not a guaranteed service.
Normally Royal Mail require we wait for 7 working days for first
class and 10 for second class before they will accept the item
has been lost, at busy times or for other reasons they can extend
these time scales, which we are bound to. Currently, despite what
it says in their website, they require we wait 15 days for both
1st and 2nd class.
After we despatch the goods we can
only wait for Royal Mail to complete the delivery or accept the
item has been lost, in a time scale decided by them
Express Carrier
Services :
Whilst a little more
expensive than First Class Recorded Delivery, all of the carriers
that we use offer time guaranteed delivery, and are generally
a lot quicker than using regular mail.

UK
Non Mainland Services :
Small items that can
travel by Royal Mail, within their size limits, cost the same
in shipping as Mainland UK. For larger items that need to go by
carrier to any address where a water crossing by ferry is involved,
Carriers charge us substantially more for this service.
All shipping prices
are calculated within the checkout procedure before you
confirm your order
At no extra
cost to you, we offset the carbon emissions created by delivering
your parcel from our warehouses to your door...
