The Aqua Tip is an excellent line for Stillwater fishing with nymph or lures and is also very effective when fishing for spooky trout, sea-trout, or Salmon in running water in clear / low water conditions. This line will perform very similar to a full intermediate, but the floating main line improves line control, making it easy for mending and lift off. In effect, the EDP is a cleverly manufactured one piece head and running line system that allows you to cast long distances but with an extra long front taper that slows down the turn over and eliminates excess energy that can cause the head to collapse and disturb the water. The EDP is not confined by the AFTM system, instead it has been developed with serious consideration to rod load and line density to give a perfect balance with todays high modulus fly rods. The head sections are relatively short and are very easy to aerialise, even in confined spaces.
