VAT on Goods and Shipping-

VAT stands for value added tax, which is charged on goods and postage & packaging sold by Tacklebargains.co.uk within the European Union (EU). In accordance with the laws governing members of the European Union, Tacklebargains.co.uk is obliged to charge VAT on all orders delivered to destinations in member countries of the EU. The only exception to this are trade orders shipped to verified VAT registered companies within the EU but outside of the UK. Please see below for more info.

The "Tacklebargains Price" amounts displayed for goods sold in our catalog are inclusive of UK VAT. Your final price however may differ depending on the actual VAT rate that applies to your order. You will be able to see your final price inclusive of applicable VAT before you confirm your order, when you have completed your order information (including your delivery address). During checkout, the VAT element (where applicable) will be itemised. The total goods price though, inclusive of the VAT, will be the same as was advertised on the product page. As shipping cannot be calculated until all the delivery information has been entered, the price shown for shipping will be exclusive of VAT but the VAT element will be added towards the end of the checkout process and clearly displayed before you confirm your order.

VAT for UK customers
For most items that are shipped to addresses within the UK (all items other than books) the UK VAT rate is 20%.
The UK VAT rate on books delivered to the UK is 0%.

VAT for Channel Island customers
Please select Channel Islands rather than UK from the Country drop down list within the Checkout process, and you will automatically be charged no VAT.

VAT for EU customers outside of the UK

Tacklebargains.co.uk is required by law to collect VAT on orders for goods dispatched to most countries within the European Union. For customers with a delivery address within the EU, VAT charges for your order will be itemised on your order, and in the e-mail confirmation of your order.

VAT for EU Business customers outside of the UK
If you wish goods VAT free for use within your business, please order as normal but select the Manual Payment option on Checkout Page 2. Then simply email us with your Order Number and VAT Registration Number. This will cause a small delay with shipping your order, as we are required to verify VAT Numbers before processing.

Customers outside of the EU
Goods sold by Tacklebargains.co.uk that are dispatched to addresses outside of the European Union are generally not subject to EU VAT. When ordering goods from Tacklebargains.co.uk for delivery overseas, you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from Tacklebargains.co.uk, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
