The Salmo Hornet is the biggest Salmo lures family, available in the floating, sinking, shallow diving and deep diving versions. All models from the Hornet family are marked by expressive, aggressive action and a tendency to dive fast. This is an effect of using lips with a relatively large surface and moving the point where the line is attached significantly forward, to the middle of the lip. Excellent for fishing upstream, the speed of retrieving the lure should be just slightly higher that the speed of the current. Hornets are also great for fishing downstream, while held for a longer period of time in deeper places where the presence of a big fish is suspected. In lakes and reservoirs, Hornets are very effective both when used for traditional casting as well for trolling.
