In order to help you maximise your results with our Affiliate Program, below is a few helpful ideas and examples of how and where your Affiliate link can be used.

General Tips

First, choose the products that best match your content or the interests of your visitors. For example, if your site is about Fly Fishing, then perhaps try placing links which go directly to Fly Rods, Fly Reels, Fly Lines etc.

Make your links prominent. You can change the size or colour of the placement, move it so the user doesn't have to scroll or animate it. Experimenting with text links can yield results too. Some sites have seen performance improvement when they change the colour of text links or make them bold.

Test different graphics & messaging: We've seen a difference ourselves in conversion when we use different messages. Whether you're using banners, buttons or text, it can pay to rotate messages to see what works best.

Change the landing page of your placement. You can link to a product info page, or the category page that it belongs to, or the product group homepage, or a search result, or the Tacklebargains.co.uk homepage. You can then find out which landing page converts best.

Adding an image or recommendation for the items you sell will increase sales. We add descriptions and images to our catalog every day, but we may not have the expertise of the items you want to sell.
