It is with a great deal of sadness that I write to inform you that the Tacklebargains affiliate scheme has now come to an end.

As you are probably aware our software provider's site simply vanished on 20th of January and was offline for almost a full month. During this time we made repeated attempts to contact them all without success. We were of course not even able to contact you to advise or update on the situation as we had no information available to us and all contact details were in the assoctrac servers which none of us could access.

The Assoctrac site has now re-appeared though how long for we are not sure.

During the time their site was down all affiliate links that were pointing to us through the Assoctrac servers were dead. No doubt causing a fair amount of frustration to your visitors and of course risking penalties in terms of positioning with the search engines.

In view of the lack of any explanation or even the courtesy of a reply to numerous emails from Assoctrac we feel the only responsible thing to do now is to end the affiliate scheme.

The last payments were made on 3rd January when all affiliates with a balance of 50GBP or more were paid. We have now downloaded all of the balances and will be issuing any payments due of 10GBP and over as quickly as we can get them processed. We hope to get these issued by the end of this month but please bear with us if it takes a little longer as there are a lot of files to go through.

For balances of below 10GBP we propose that these be consolidated and donated to charity as it would seem to make no sense in terms of admin to issue or bank a cheque below this amount. If you have a balance due of below 10GBP though and would like to receive a cheque please let us know within the next 30 days and we will sort that out.
