Bluefin Leisure Ltd. Environment
Policy
We all believe the environment is changing.
Each of us must take responsibility for reducing our carbon
footprint and working towards a sustainable future.
Here
at Bluefin Leisure we have taken action to reduce our own emissions
as much as possible. This includes re-using packaging materials
where practical, minimising energy usage and upgrading to the
most energy-efficient equipment available. We have offset remaining
carbon dioxide emissions from our general operations in association
with World Land Trust since 17th February 2008.
From 1st July 2008, at no extra
cost to you, we are also offsetting the carbon emissions created
by delivering your parcel from our warehouses to your door.
We are doing this through the Carbon Balanced
Programme run by the World Land Trust http://eco-services.worldlandtrust.org/
All calculations are interpolated from actual fuel usage figures
provided by our shipping partners and are based on a broad
average covering thousands of parcels thus giving us the most
accurate information currently available to us.
What
is the World Land Trust?
The World Land Trust is an international conservation charity
(Reg. No. 1001291), based in Halesworth, a rural town in Suffolk,
UK. Since its foundation in 1989 as the World Wide Land Conservation
Trust, the World Land Trust has been working to preserve the
world's most biologically important and threatened lands, and
has helped purchase and protect over 350,000 acres of habitats
rich in wildlife, in Asia, Central and South America and the
UK.
We urge you to visit World Land Trust http://www.worldlandtrust.org/
and see for yourself the excellent work that they do. Please
support them by making a contribution to help achieve a clean,
healthy, safe and sustainable environment so that our children
may still enjoy the fishing we take for granted today.
Together we
can make a difference.
