Trolling Tips

Note: The BulletBobber will be traveling 4 to 6 times faster sideways than your boat speed when behind the boat and at the same speed as the boat when planing at a hold angle out to the side. Go slow and let the BulletBobber do its thing. If you go too fast it will point up and trail behind the boat. You’ll learn to use them quickly by doing and be glad you did!

Slip Rig For Depth Control

Slip rigging the BulletBobber provides 3 dimensional controls.
If you relieve line tension it will drop and you can jig vertically from afar.
Wire stripping and bobber stop are optional and only needed if you want to limit the maximum depth.

 

A slip rigged BulletBobber will not slide towards you when raising and lowering like other bobbers because the keel is perpendicular to the line.
Slip rigging also allows the fish to run without feeling the drag of the bobber similar to the weight on a Carolina rig.

Make Lures That Dive & Plane

Make your own lures with DIVE and directional control
Use stickers or paint them.

If the suggested lure weight is not met they will dive when going a little faster.
You may need to practice this but it works.

You are never actually reeling fast because they travel much faster then you reel.
Once in a dive the faster you reel the steeper the dive angle.
